elder and childArctic Access has been working since 1993 to address the unique challenges of people with disabilities living in Kotzebue, Nome and the surrounding villages.

Our Mission is to provide services and opportunities for elders and people with disabilities so they may remain in their village and be active with their families and communities in the North West Arctic and Bering Straits Regions of Alaska.

Our Goals remain unique to these remote regions of Alaska:

1. Outreach & Public Awareness
2. Peer Counseling & Independent Living Skills Training
3. Individual & Systems Advocacy
4. Information & Referral
5. Deinsitutionalization

More information about these goals can be found here.
