Arctic Access is a small consumer controlled nonprofit organization operating out of a home-based office in Kotzebue, Alaska. We speak up for the rights of elders and people with disabilities and we can show you how to talk to agencies to get the changes you need. Tell us your stories and Arctic Access will help speak up for you to get the assistance you need. Read more about our services, and contact us so that we may assist you

Roger Wright, Jr.If you have a disability, we'll help find resources to rebuild stairs or build a new ramp to your home. We could help get adaptive equipment for you that might make it easier for you to live independently in your village.

Perhaps you are caring for an elder or someone with a disability in your family because they want to stay in their village even though they're not able to do everything for themselves. Arctic Access can assist you in signing up for the Consumer Directed Personal Care Services (CDPCS) program.

If it's difficult for you to get on a local plane, we'd like to join together with you to make some changes for the future. If you can't hear the services at your village church, we'd like to help your church get an audio system to amplify the sounds for others like you. If your village needs a vehicle to help transport elders and others with disabilities across town, we'll help find funding for an accessible van or vehicle that will work for your village.
